Website analytics

This site uses Cloudflare Web Analytics to understand which pages are read, where visits are referred from, and broad technical information such as country and device category. The analytics setup does not place cookies, build advertising profiles, or identify you by name. The site is hosted on GitHub Pages, whose infrastructure may process ordinary request and security logs.

Email updates

When you submit a subscription form, this site sends your email address and a short page-and-placement label, such as web:home:intro:v1 or an article-end label, to MailerLite. As with an ordinary web request, MailerLite also receives technical request data such as your IP address, browser identifier, and submission time. Merely viewing a page does not load MailerLite’s form script, fonts, cookies, or browser storage; the site contacts MailerLite only after you submit. If the local form cannot connect and you choose its hosted fallback link, you open a MailerLite page directly.

MailerLite processes the submission on behalf of Spatium Novum, sends the confirmation request, records the completed double opt-in, delivers essays, manages unsubscribes, and measures ordinary link clicks. Open-pixel tracking is disabled. You are not subscribed until you click the confirmation link.

The legal basis for newsletter email is your consent. You can withdraw it at any time through the unsubscribe link in every message. Your subscriber record is kept while you remain subscribed; after unsubscribing, only the minimum suppression record needed to avoid mailing you again may be retained.

Contact messages

When you use the contact form, your name if provided, email address, subject, message and ordinary request metadata are sent to FormSubmit, operated by Devro LABS. FormSubmit delivers the submission to Spatium Novum by email and states that form submissions are retained in its archive for 30 days. Its spam protection may also ask you to complete a verification step.

The information is used only to read and answer your message and maintain the resulting correspondence. Sending a message does not subscribe you to the newsletter. You can avoid the form processor by emailing notes@spatium-novum.com directly. Reader data is not sold, rented or used for ad targeting.

Your choices

You may ask what personal data is held about you, request correction or deletion, or withdraw consent by emailing the address above. You may also complain to the data-protection authority that applies where you live.

Service providers

The services relevant to this notice are Cloudflare, GitHub, MailerLite, and FormSubmit. MailerLite states that subscriber data for its current platform is stored in the European Union. These providers may use infrastructure and subprocessors in other countries under their own legal safeguards.

This notice will be updated if the site begins collecting materially different information.
